Friday Evening – VIP Receptions African American Civil War-Reconstruction Historical Alliance Gala – Join South Carolina dignitaries and military luminaries as they honor the legacy of African Americans of the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. Saturday Morning – A Gravesite Memorial – Dedication of Grave Marker/ Monument to Kingstree, SC, former mayor and African American Civil War hero, Lt. Stephen Swails. A cannon firing, marching band, re- enactors.
